           ...It was lunchtime pretty soon and I was at my usual spot at the cafeteria along with Sophie.

"Where's Ethan?", I asked Sophie because he is the one who is always there before us and I think he heard me because he surprised me from behind by saying,

"Here I am!"

"Where have you been?", I asked.

"Mr. David actually saw me today...so had to deal with him...and hey! Talking about 'deal'...do you remember 'our deal'?", he said, taking his seat.

"What deal?", I asked looking at my food even though I knew what he was talking about...I mean come on, who doesn't remember the 'yesterday talk'?

"Where did you sleep last night?", he asked.

"Downstairs", I lied, still not looking at him.

"And did you tell you grandma?", he questioned again.

"Yes, I did.", I lied again looking at him this time.

"Those were two lies in a row.", he said, still looking at me. And at this point, I was out of words.'How does he know I'm lying!?', I questioned myself in my mind, and when I looked at him, he was still looking at me, waiting for me to speak something.

"I can't tell my grandma about this situation. She already has a lot of worries on her mind...about Lucy, about me, about finance and savings...about everything...! And how could I be so stupid to burden her with something like this...I am sorry Ethan, I broke my promise, but I really can't tell her...", I said without a pause. And I didn't see myself in the mirror, but I may have looked very sad while I said that because then he said,

"Don't worry Daisy...I promise we'll find another way...", with the same kind of charm in his deep brown eyes.
