COLLEGE DIARIES
EPISODE:29

..."How's grandma? Is she okay?", was the first question Lucy had for me once I reached home.
"She's taken in the ICU...she'll be fine.", I replied trying to sound as strong and calm as possible.
"What do you mean? How can you say she's fine when she's-"
"I don't know, okay? I really don't. Please!!!", I almost shouted, partly because I was myself scared and partly because that was the bitter truth.
"I am just asking you about my grandma, okay? Stop acting like-"
"Fine, Fine. Here, have dinner.", I said and ran upstairs to my room only to realize what a bad mess my room was. Bobby pins and hairspray on the vanity table, piles of clothes on the bed, and hairbrush on the floor. My room looked bizarre. But that was not something I cared about at that time. I pushed some clothes on the other side, making place to sit when there was a bell at the door.
"Daisy!!!", I heard Sophie's voice and a moment later she was up in the room and panting like crazy. She was panting so much, she was unable to speak. Dressed in a white tee-shirt and cargo pants, she definitely didn't look like she was attending a party, a 'college dance party' that evening.
"Daisy...how's grandma?", she said at last, still out of breath.
"She should be fine. Come sit.", I said.
"Are you sure? Because Ethan texted me that she's taken in the ICU?", she said displaying the text.
"That she is. But why did you come here? You are supposed to be at the party!"
"Are you out of your mind?!", she said, narrowing her eyes and giving me a look which really meant I was out of my mind.
"How can you even think of me being at the party? In this situation?!", she said in an angry tone.
"Thanks for coming.", I said trying to change the topic.
"Come down, let's have dinner. You look pale. Don't worry, we are all praying for her. She'll be very fine.", she said, grabbing me by the hand and forcing me down the stairs.
