          ..."You rejected his invitation!!! DAISY ARE YOU WITLESS?", shouted Sophie when I told her the whole story.

"I am not going over there to feel awkward among a whole bunch of billionaires."

"He won't let you feel awkward, Daisy. You should not have-", and while she was talking to me and giving me all the unneeded advice, my phone buzzed. It was a message which read,

"Three hours left...sweetheart...REPLY or I WILL RUIN YOUR LIFE."My heart started beating like crazy. 'Ruin my life...as in what?', I thought to myself. Here I was horrified to death and there was Sophie, giving me all the bits of advice in the world. Suddenly I felt so numb after reading that creepy text that I couldn't hear or feel anything. I didn't understand what was happening...nor did I understand why was it happening.

"Hello? Hello? Are you even listening to me, Daisy! I am talking from the past-"

"Sophie? Yeah, I'll talk to you later, okay?", and with that, I just disconnected her phone. Now, the left side of my brain said, "DO NOT REPLY!" while my right side said, "Go ahead and reply Daisy! Do you want your life ruined?".

"Ughh!!! I don't know what to do regarding this!!!", I shouted to myself because "I will ruin your life" definitely seemed creepier than "you suffer".I switched off my phone and threw it on my bed, slammed my door, and went down to have dinner because it had been a super long day and I was starving.

"You know Daisy,...when I was your age, I used to get a lot social and make a lot of friends...", said grandma when I was washing the dishes that night, of course, she was indirectly talking about me rejecting Ethan's invitation. If anyone wants to learn the 'art of indirect speaking', you can take a class from her.

"It's not about being social, grandma...it's about feeling weird...and didn't he reject my invitation as well? So, I am going tit for tat.", I laughed.

"He didn't do that, he just made you modify your plans.", my grandma was taking his side.

"Yeah but I still don't know whether he is coming a hundred percent.", I said, picking up another dish.

"Yes, Daisy...he must have felt really bad when you'd have said, 'No' straightforward.", interrupted Lucy. I shot her an angry look but at the same time, I remembered Ethan's look when I had said 'No'...he certainly looked sad...' Oh! These people make me feel guilty!!!', I thought to myself.

"Well, now it's sure I am not going, anyway", I said. Our telephone rang, Lucy picked it up. It was Sophie.

"Why on earth did you disconnect? And I am calling and messaging you from the past one hour ...you are not even answering?"

"Oh! There must be a bit of network issue, no?", I said and grandma and Lucy looked at me like, 'What? Network issue?'.

"Even Ethan's tired of calling you, he says you won't pick up."

"Ethan's calling...why?", I questioned.

"That you are asking me? Am I Ethan?", she said in an angry tone, and when she said this I could fully imagine her annoyed face which ultimately made me crack up! No matter what kind of an 'overacting' Sophie was...she definitely made me forget all my worries...!
