              ..."You are telling me that creep saved your life?", asked Sophie when I told her about everything the next day.

"That's what he did."

"No, no, no, no, Daisy, no. I don't think this can be even legit. Look, what if your stalker and Pete are connected in some way and maybe he did all this to create a good image in front of you? It's possible, right?", she said. I thought,

"But he looked quite genuine...you are clearly just overthinking!", I said. She sighed.

"Arguing with you is like wasting one's time. Anyway, did you tell Ethan regarding this?"

"No.", I answered.

"I think you need to tell him because-"

"No way am I telling him, he will directly take me to the cops and then all the police question and answers...I have always wanted to stay away from all that!".She sighed.

"I don't know, Daisy but things are getting creepier day by day. I really think you should report this to the police,...it's a matter of your life. He tried to kill you, Daisy, and you won't report him?"

"I don't want to waste my time and go to the cops, that's all.", I answered. During the lunch break, Ethan asked,

"Did you see that car again?"

"No, did you?", I said.

"I did and I tried to see the number plate so that we could track him off and guess what? The number plate was empty, it was blank", he said.

"Blank? How's that possible?", asked Sophie.

"I don't know...empty number plates are so unusual.", he said.

     The same day, I was at the supermarket for grocery shopping when I saw a girl about my age. She was chubby, short heightened with jet black hair, and was wearing big earrings along with a matching necklace. And she was buying the vegetables, the rotten ones.

"Umm, excuse me", I said. She looked at me.

"The tomatoes which you are buying are umm...rotten...consider buying from that section over there", I pointed,"...that section has fresh veggies."

"Really?", she said, emptying her basket.

"Thanks for telling", she said with a smile and continued,"... I returned from university just a few days back and I thought I'll try my hand at cooking today...saw an easy recipe which brought me here. Thank you for your help! Or my recipe would have turned rotten!", she said with a laugh.

"No problem, you'll get the idea as you shop more often."

"Do you always shop for your home?", she asked. I sighed,

"Well, I have to!"

"I am Claudia.", she said with a smile, offering a handshake.

"Daisy.", I said, shaking her hand.

"And do you-", she was about to say something when her phone started ringing. She tsked and then picked it up.

"Dad! I am here in the supermarket. Fine, I'll be home soon!!!", she said rolling her eyes.

"My dad keeps calling me like a thousand times whenever I go out of the house. Anyway, see you around, Daisy! Bye!!!"
