Pencil Sketching 101!
Pencil Sketching 101!
Yes,You can
Hello! In today's post, I am going to be sharing some tips and basics for all those who want to get started with pencil sketching. Being an art addict all these years, I can definitely say that pencil sketching is one of my most loved mediums! Read on to find more!💜

No.1: Consider the pencils you are using: In pencil sketching, the first and very important thing is to consider which pencils you are using.Better the pencils, better the sketch. I would personally recommend the Faber Castell brand because those are the ones I have been using all the time, right from the beginning.
No.2: Different pencils, different darkness: So, sketching pencils are classified into types like 2H,2B,3B,and so on.8B being the darkest. All these pencils contain different amounts of pigment and they are all different. 8B is usually used for shadow areas and hair while 2B,3B are used for smoothness in portraits.
No.3: Start with normal paper: Because that's what I did in the beginning. At first, we all are practicing and when we are practicing, things tend to go wrong. So, investing in high-quality, expensive sketching paper, in the beginning, is a bad idea.

No.5: And before you start portraits!!!-Practice eyes, nose, ears, lips individually before you actually start on a portrait. There are so many wonderful tutorials on the internet to teach you how exactly to draw all those facial features which makes everything so much simpler.
No.6: Go on and start!: When I look back at the sketches I made as a kid, I have a good hearty laugh. They are so funny! But then with time, I think I've improved so much in pencil sketching. So, the key is to start rather than just thinking to start! Good Luck!👍
