 COLLEGE DIARIES

                  EPISODE:66

...His condition wasn't improving...though the doctor didn't tell me that, I just knew it...I could sense it...

"How is he now?", I asked the doctor as soon as I reached the hospital.

"Well, he is getting better...you need to have patience-"

"Can I see him now?", I questioned, cutting off whatever lecture he was about to give me. He looked worried,

"Sure...come...", he said and went into the ward. I followed. I slowly took little steps toward him. I had seen him last on the road and I saw him in the hospital with all the hospital instruments...I felt so sad looking at him like that, I mean I had always seen him smiling or laughing...or cracking jokes which were actually funny! I sat in the chair which was kept a little away from the bed and glanced at the heart rate monitor which was kept just beside him...his heartbeat was not low...but it wasn't medium as well...it was just somewhere in between...I wanted to see those brown eyes once again with the charm I had always loved...

"My brother's pretty handsome, isn't he?", I heard a familiar voice from behind me. I turned back to find Claudia standing there weakly...I was so engrossed in my own thinking that I never realized when Claudia came in...she wasn't exactly crying but I could definitely see the tears appearing in her eyes...I had never seen Claudia like that...she was a girl full of life- always. I got up, hugged her and, said,

"Don't worry Claudia...he'll be fine..".

"I don't know, Daisy! He's not improving, is he?", she asked me. What was I supposed to say?

"He will be better soon", I answered weakly. A nurse close by heard us.

"Shhhh!!!", she said in an angry tone. I quickly went outside while Claudia followed. Outside, there was Sophie and Eva. Sophie looked at me sadly while Eva looked at her sister. Eva felt more like an introvert to me...she didn't speak much with anyone, though I wasn't sure if that was because of her brothers' condition.

"How is he?", Sophie, who was sitting beside me whispered in my ear.

"I'm not sure...go see for yourself...", I whispered back.
