   COLLEGE DIARIES

EPISODE:56

...The next few days went pretty well, but life always has a bad habit of going wrong when things are good and bright and that's exactly what happened with me. On Sunday night, as I completed washing the dinner dishes, I decided to check my phone. I received a text...from Ethan...and it was the worst text I had ever read in my life. It was a big paragraph text...

 He wrote,

Daisy, I am sorry to hide this from you for a long time but I don't think I want to talk to you anymore...you haven't been the friend I expected you to be. You are such trouble and forever a headache...you know what? Soph is the best person I've ever come across. She's cute, pretty, beautiful and funny...so glad I met someone like her in my life...💜.

My head started spinning around with a mixed feeling of a hundred thoughts. Anger, jealousy, hatred, and what not? All this time they had been cheating on me? The people I thought to be my best friends had been dumping me all this time? It was unbelievable. Though I'm not that of an emotional wreck, that day I cried...not because he had called me trouble or a headache or whatever, but because he had played with the trust I had on him...

        *************************

The next day at college, he was there standing near the bike stand. I decided to ignore him.

" Hey, Daisy! Good morning...I was waiting for you, I wanted to tell you-", but before he even completed whatever he was saying, I turned around and started walking away. I pretended like he wasn't there.

"Daisy, wait! Listen! What's wrong", he said, hurrying beside me. I started walking even faster but he kept up to my speed, still looking at me.

"Daisy! Will you wait and tell me what happened for God's sake?", he said. I looked at him. His face was all innocent just like always as if nothing had happened. That made me even madder. I started walking again.

"Daisy!"

"Just don't speak to me!", I said and quickly walked away inside the campus. Sophie as well! She was acting as if nothing had happened. Or may I say, 'Soph' was acting as if nothing had happened?

"Why are you behaving unusually today?!", she said when I ignored her for the 100th time that day. And I knew that till I tell her something, she won't go. So as she was walking behind me and calling out my name. I stopped and turned around. She was the girl who he was glad to have in his life...she was cute, beautiful, pretty, and funny.'Great then!', I thought to myself.
