 COLLEGE DIARIES

                  EPISODE:68

...Sophie called that night after dinner and when I told her about Ethan calling my name, she said,

"Daisy, I do believe you...don't get me wrong but...how can he call you out?"

"I swear I heard him!!!", I said.

"It must have been your notion...what do you think?"

"It's okay, Sophie...no problem if you don't believe me, it's perfectly fine...everyone has their own perspectives.", I said sarcastically.

"Miss. Sarcastic you are!", she replied.

                                                  ***************

The next day, I quickly prepared breakfast for Lucy, grandma, and myself and started setting up the table. It was a Thursday and I hadn't been to college since Monday...

"When do you plan to go to college?", she asked me. I continued bringing all the dishes and glasses to the table and said,

"I can't possibly attend university as of now, grandma...I'm just not in the condition."

"What about your lectures then? Aren't you missing your lectures all these days?", Lucy said in between. I'll tell you one thing I hate very much about Lucy (even though there are many things...but then that's a never-ending list so let's not go there)- she always has to speak in between. It's something which is 'compulsory' for her.

"It's not important right now, what is important is-", I said and stopped mid-track. I would just make a joke of myself if I completed my sentence...not that I hadn't already done that...

"Is...is what?", Lucy said with a smile. I shot her an angry look,

"I think we should have breakfast now?"

"Sure...why not?", she said with a wink.

I went to the hospital straight away after breakfast and everyone was already present there. I sat in a corner seat, next to Sophie and thought. I promise I'm not an emotional wreck but...hadn't he always been there for me? I remembered the time when he had tapped on my shoulder and I had flipped around...how wonderful were those brown eyes filled with charm! I remembered the time when he came to my door to ask me for the dance...I was in my night-suit that time, looking nothing but crap...but he never told me I looked crap. I remembered the beautiful necklace he had gifted me on my birthday, the heart-warming movie we had watched together...I thought back to the time when grandma was at the hospital and I had no hope...he became my hope...I even recalled the lovely song he had written and sung...just for me! That was as sweet as sugar! I was dying to have a look at those eyes again...filled with the same charm I admired! Thinking of all this led to some tears...

"Daisy! Daisy! Why won't you listen to me?!!!", Sophie said pulling my arm.

"Stop it!", I said, wiping away my tears. She smiled at me and said,

"Fine...I'll go! But don't tell me why I never told you of 'someone' looking for you...", she said with a mischievous grin. I stood up and looked at her,

"Are you serious?"

"Of course, I am! The thing is that my name is Sophie and still he's calling out 'Daisy'!", she said with a laugh. My spirits rose. I was so happy that I had never been that happy in my entire life...not even when I received my first salary...trust me on that. I started walking towards the ward but then just stopped mid-track.

"Go ahead, why don't you?", Sophie asked.

"No, Sophie...I can't go in there...he's probably mad at me and what if he doesn't speak to me and what if-", I began.

"No.Nothing! He'll be glad!!! He wants to see you, I swear.", she said.

"Are you sure?", I asked. She nodded with a smile. I took a deep breath and entered the room. There were Ethan's parents and her sisters already in the room but then he still looked at me...and I looked back at him. I smiled.

"Hello, Daisy!", he said, his voice sounding all fresh and happy as always.

"Hello! I am so glad you are fine now! How do you feel?", I asked taking a chair. He smiled at me, with his brown eyes charming, of course!

"I am good! But wait...why are you crying?", he asked. I quickly wiped my existing tears and said,

"I am not!"

"You are! Listen up one thing! You can lie to the world...but you can never lie to me...I'll know it!", he said.
