COLLEGE DIARIES
EPISODE:76
...The next day, I woke up for college and went downstairs to fix breakfast. Who knew mom would be up already that early in the morning.
"Daisy?", she said.
"Yes?"
"Where do you store almond milk?"
"We don't use almond milk!", I said.
"Why not?", she asked again. I decided to keep that question unanswered because come on! who answers stupid questions. I began putting some cereal in the 'normal' milk that we had and then started preparing tea.
"Do you people have rosemary herbs for the tea...or just some different kind of tea powder?", she asked again.
"Sorry...no."
"Then what do you have?!! How do you people survive? No problem, don't worry, Daisy. Once you leave this house-"
"I am not leaving this house!", I said. Grandma woke up by dint of my loud voice, Lucy did too but it wasn't my fault, right? She was just making me shout by saying stupid things. She smiled an evil smile like the one we see in movies and said,
"Well, you can't change your fortune at least!", and with that, she was gone upstairs. After she went, grandma said,
"How many times have I told you, Daisy, to not answer her, not answer her...and if you want to answer then speak slowly! Why do have to shout?"
"Sorry...", I murmured."...but what do I do grandma? How do I deal with her? She's here to make my life miserable! I am not going to meet that weirdo on Saturday!", taking my cup of tea and sitting on the couch. Grandma rested her arm on my shoulder and said,
"You always ask me for advice, don't you? Ask me for advice now".I looked at her,
"So, what's your advice this time?"
"My advice is that you and meet him".I got up from the couch as soon as I heard her.
"Fine. Don't support me, I think I'll support myself now-"
"Don't get me wrong, Daisy...I have a plan!", she said, her eyes sparkling.
"What's the plan?", I asked, sitting back. She lowered her voice and said,
"Listen. You go meet Liam on Saturday-"
"Wait what? His name is Liam?", I said, cutting off her sentence.
"You don't know?", she asked, all surprised. I laughed,
"I don't know because I never bothered to know!"
"Okay. So, you go meet him and tell him that you don't want to marry-"
"But grandma! He won't listen to me!"
"He will. Ask him to tell his family to take back their wedding plans with you. Simple!", she said.
"I don't think this is going to work, grandma...it's easier said than done..."
"Why not?", she questioned.
"I doubt he'll listen to me or understand me..."
"Boys are understandable...you already know!", she said with a laugh. I understood her joke,
"I do?", I asked smiling.
"You surely do!", she said, nudging my elbow. I told you, grandma isn't my mom...but she is far, far better than my mom!!!
