                  ..."What on earth did you do, Daisy!", grandma said, sitting on the edge of the bed and taking the newspaper as soon as she was gone.

"Just what I was supposed to do, grandma.", I answered. She remained silent for about three minutes as she read the whole article, then she looked at me, smiled broadly, and said,

"You did great!!!", she said, coming to hug me. I hugged her back and said,

"I told you!!!"

"But, Daisy! How? just how did you do this? What exactly did happen?! I want to know everything!!!! In detail!!!", Lucy said, all excited. I laughed,

"I was going to tell you both the whole story last night but mom was around which didn't allow me to! Anyway, I'll tell you now! Sit.", I said and told both of them the whole story. In between my narration, Lucy said "And then?" repeatedly which was a whole lot irritating but what else can we expect from Lucy?

"And what was Ethan's reaction?", Lucy asked at the end. And she was smiling a stupid smile. I laughed.

"Let me get out of bed, girl! I am sitting here since one last hour!", I said, and jumped out of bed to get ready for the day. As I was preparing lunch that afternoon, Lucy said,

"Daisy?"

"Yes?"

"Where do you think mom went?".I shrugged my shoulders,

"Maybe she's not gone anywhere...maybe she'll come back tomorrow or the day after. I don't know."

"No, Daisy...she doesn't like going against what she said so I don't think she'll come back", Lucy said with worry in her voice. I looked at her.

"Good for us then."

"No, but where will she stay?", Lucy asked again. I smiled,

"Lucy. You need not waste even one second of your life and worry about her. Trust me she's got a lot of money to rent a hotel room...and she's not going back to Texas until after Christmas, remember she said her flight ticket is booked?"

"Right".Our doorbell rang post-lunch the same day. I went ahead and opened the door to find Ethan, Eva, and Claudia.

"Hi!", they greeted me.

"Hello! What a wonderful surprise!", I said, taking them in.

"No, Daisy! Wonderful surprise was seeing you in today's newspaper!!! You don't know how proud everyone is of you! My dad and mom told this as well!!!", Claudia said, hugging me as I could feel her earring touch my shoulders.

"Here's a little present from all of us. Good job, Daisy!", Eva said, giving me a wrapped box. They greeted grandma and Lucy as well and had a seat. Ethan was the only person silent till then though when I looked at him, he smiled at me.

"You won't speak today?", I asked laughing, as I offered them lemonade.

"Let her 'talk' get over then we will get a chance!", he whispered. Claudia shot him an angry look and said,

"I heard that!"

"Great. I wanted you to !!!", Ethan laughed.

"Very funny!!!", she said. Though everyone was laughing and smiling and talking, I could see Eva on her phone, silent. She always behaved like that in front of me.'I wonder if she hates me or something...', I thought to myself.

"You are so very talented Daisy...what police weren't able to do, you did. You caught your stalker and not only did you catch him but you also thrashed him!!! Now, that is what I call smartness!", Claudia said.

" Thanks, Claudia for your kind words!", I smiled. After that, they had some chit-chat with grandma and Lucy but Eva was still very odd. It appeared as if she was only physically present there but mentally someplace else...it felt weird. It felt as if I was making her feel left out but I wasn't...after about thirty minutes or so, they began to leave.

"Oh and sorry. I forgot!", Ethan said, removing a red and black colored envelope. He gave it to my grandma "...do come for the Christmas party!"

"When's it?", Lucy asked.

"December twenty-five! It's going to be soooo much fun!!!!! And remember! The dress code is red and black!", Claudia said, all excited.

"That sounds amazing!", Lucy said.

"It is! Our preparations have started as well!", she replied. They waved goodbye after which Lucy said,

"Daisy?"

"Yes?"

"Did you realize 'you both' were twinning today?",  she asked, emphasizing the word 'you both'.I looked away even though I knew that we were...I mean I was wearing a maroon colored top and he was as well! Though that was accidental,

"Who both?".She laughed,

"Why do you have to be so funny, Daisy?", she said, still laughing. I smiled a hidden smile but shot her an annoyed look. Truly, Lucy was someone who would never get tired of teasing me!
