DREAMFUL

    CHAPTER:10

          ...Grace almost fell off the chair laughing when Destiny narrated the 'treadmill incident'.Also, Mrs. Decker couldn't help but laugh.

"What kind of family are you?!", Dez said angrily.

"Oh, Oh, Oh my God Dez!... I am sorry but imagining you on that treadmill the way you described is just too funny!", Grace answered, still unable to stop her laughter.

"By the way, how does this Edwin look?", Mrs. Decker asked. Destiny looked at her mom like where are you trying to get? and took a bite of her sandwich as she replied,

"He looks...I don't know how he looks!"

"is he tall?", Grace asked(who had finally stopped giggling and moved on to how-does-he-look conversation). Destiny nodded without looking at her.

"Taller than you?!", Grace asked again. Destiny nodded.

"Oh my God, is he handsome?".Destiny took the last bite of her sandwich as she replied,

"Why don't you go and see for yourself!"

"I definitely will!", Grace replied and eyed her sister with a wicked smile to which she just rolled her eyes.

 The next day, while Destiny was returning home, back from the gym, texting on her phone while walking(a bad habit she had for years and continued to have despite going through some hazardous instances) when she looked up and felt like slapping herself for looking up. She saw Jason Kelly-the boy who broke her heart along with the same girl she had seen in the Instagram picture. She was wearing a white cropped shirt with black denims and sunglasses as well as a cake face of makeup. The girl appeared to be laughing at something Jason said. He never made me laugh, did he? Destiny thought. Also, Jason had his hand around her waist while she continued laughing(on God knows what hell was the joke) and looking pretty. Destiny suddenly started feeling numb again...her stomach churned up. The problem was, she had to pass them as they were walking on the same pavement she was. Coming face-to-face was a hundred-and-ten percent undeniable. She tried getting busy on her phone but no, it wasn't working. Looking down and walking? No use. She looked up again and found Jason already looking at her while he approached from the other side but as soon as Destiny looked at him, he quickly started looking in his phone as if she was a stranger to him.

"Ah, let's go to Ccd?", Jason said loudly, looking at his 'new girlfriend' while passing through Destiny. He deliberately kept that sentence for when Destiny Decker would pass by him. He thought he would make her green with envy but this time, it wasn't working with Destiny. For this time, she knew, she deserved someone much better as a partner.

"But, Dez who is that girl with Jason?", Ivanna asked over the phone that evening after dinner.

"The one we saw in his Instagram picture, of course!"

"Wait a sec! Let me check that perfectly ridiculous post for the tag!", Ivanna said and went on her phone and onto the girl's account.

"Who's she?", Destiny questioned.

"Oh, some Instagram influencer, having two million followe-"

"TWO MILLION!!!!!", Destiny gasped.

"Don't you worry, you'll have twenty million.", Ivanna said, confidence in her voice, and continued,"...just don't forget me when you get there!", she laughed.

"If I ever get there!", Destiny responded with a smile.
