DREAMFUL

     CHAPTER:17

...As Destiny looked around herself, she quietly thanked Rylee for giving her suggestion of NOT wearing black, because every single girl appeared to be wearing black, if not, then several other darker shades of blue...she felt unique looking at all of them. Destiny walked her way toward the audition building and into the waiting room where she picked an empty seat. She looked around herself to find girls chatting away, laughing, giggling, everyone's face caked with a thousand layers of foundation and concealer. Sitting right in front of her chair, several distances away was  Stephanie-her balayage highlights looked as fresh as the last time Dez saw her. She looked flawless in a black and white evening with black smokey eyes and an almost black lipstick(which looked horrible on her extra-fair face). She gave Destiny a wicked smile and went back to scrolling on her phone.

"Good Morning Models! Welcome to the ramp walk test, kindly gather at the S-03 hall, auditions will begin shortly. Thank you!"

'This is definitely Ryan's voice', Destiny thought and went ahead into the hall. It was beautiful! There was a huge ramp and the hall was filled up with pink and purple lights which looked delightfully charming. Rock music filled the background and the environment was dazzling. She saw Edwin in the panel of judges, he looked back at her and smiled. He looked admirable in a black tee-shirt paired with dark jeans and his almost black hair was well-formed. All the girls went backstage and the audition began. Her turn was the tenth and as the audition processed, her heartbeats grew faster and she became jumpier with each passing second.

"And next up is Destiny Decker!", said someone in the loudspeaker. She would have recognized whose voice was it if she hadn't been that nervous. She passed Stephanie while passing through the backstage.

"Break a leg!", she said with a smirk and walked away clattering her heels. Destiny didn't give her much attention. She confidently came on the ramp as the stage lights fell upon her. She closed her eyes due to the sharp lighting but quickly opened them up as she saw the panel of judges right in front of her, at a distance, of course. They always sat in one sequence which they maintained, Edwin followed by Andy and then Ryan. She maintained a slight smile and she walked till the front, nicely, as she had been trained as the purple-pinkish lights traveled with her.

"You look beautiful today.", Andy Williams complemented, inspecting her from head to toe, now that she was closer, while, Ryan and Edwin wrote down something in their notebooks.

"Thank you!"

"So, the question for you, today, Miss. Destiny is...if you could have back anything which you've lost, what would it be...?", Edwin asked. She somehow hated him calling her, 'Miss Destiny'.Destiny smiled,

"It's not a thing I would want back...it's a person...", she answered and continued, "If I were to bring back a person, it would be my dad...for it was his dream to want his daughter stand where I am standing today...but anyhow...", her eyes had filled till now, but she maintained the smile." I know he's watching me...from wherever he is today...", she completed and everyone applauded. Andy had tears in her eyes, while Edwin and Ryan wrote down some more in their notebooks.

"Good Luck, Destiny. Always remember, you're making your dad proud!", Andy said, wiping a tear while Destiny nodded, said 'Thank you', and returned backstage.

'Whoa!', she thought. She did a great job however her legs were suffering from pain. She sat on an empty seat and took off her stilettos. Those heels were so torturing, she had a painful shoe bite on her left leg.
