DREAMFUL

     CHAPTER:23

                ..."I'd love to but I've got some-", Edwin started saying,

"Oh, come on, Edwin...you always have something to do! Give yourself a break!", she said coming more forward. 'More flirt', Dez thought.

"I sure need to", he started and then his phone started ringing which Destiny was ultra-grateful about.

"Kay, next time for sure?! Bye, Take care... see ya soon!", Scarlet said, waved to him, and went away. Destiny motioned to him a 'bye' while he was speaking on the phone and he motioned for her to stop. After a good five minutes, he said, "Let's go". On the way in the car, Destiny started,

"Someone just asked someone out on a date and they humbly refused it.". Edwin looked at her, while still driving,

"Yes, someone asked me out and 'someone' was so jealous about it!", he said with a half-smile.

"Oh, whatever, as if I haven't got better things in my life...", she murmured under her breath.

"What did you say?!", he asked.

"Nothing, absolutely nothing. I'm so tired today, I'm not doing anything for the rest of the day, trust me...oh by the way, where do you stay?!", she asked.

"Not someplace glam."

"Doesn't matter. Where do you stay?"

"Told you, not some beautiful bungalow.", he answered.

"Can I just-"

"Alright, I stay on rent"..." in an apartment.", he continued.

"I mean why?"

"Because I've got to change my places according to my job. Any more questions?", he answered.

"That's sad...", Destiny said and quickly added, "I mean the fact that you can't stay at one place is sad...".He nodded,

"Someday I'll stop shifting-", he started to say when again his phone started ringing. It was Ryan,

"Hello?"." Yeah, so. gotta talk to you about today...Andy told you...maybe?". "Ok, no probs Ryan talk to you later...driving at the moment.". "Ok, bye."

Destiny knew what he wanted to talk to Ryan about...it was all about changing the photography crew topic...Edwin was so mad at him! 

When they reached, Destiny got out of the car and said,

"Edwin? Would you mind coming upstairs for tea or coffee or dinner...err...mom was very mad about me not calling you upstairs when you dropped me home last time.. so...".He raised his eyebrows,

"Now look who's talking?", he replied with a hidden smile. Destiny rolled her eyes and closed the car door shut. 

"You coming?", she asked again.

"I'll for sure, not when Mrs. Decker calls but when you do."

"Edwin, there's this new cafe which opened a couple of weeks back, let's go there for coffee?", Destiny said making a face and mimicking Scarlet,

"Unbelievable!", she said again, folding the laundry clothes and keeping them in her wardrobe. Ivanna laughed,

"Dez! Chill! Why are you so envious about it?", she said, still laughing.

"Why's everybody thinking I'm jealous about Scarlet asking him out, come on, Ivy", Dez replied, rolling her eyes and turning crimson.

"One thousand shades of red...", Ivy started singing. Destiny hid behind her wardrobe door.

"Whatever, Ivy. Stop. You are supposed to support me."

"I do, Dez. No one does it better than me!", Ivy replied with a smile.
