CHAPTER:24

                ...Edwin looked worried the other day when Destiny was sitting on the stairs of the gym for her water-break-almost her daily routine. He was on the phone.

"Chill-it's no problem! Please understand", he said on the phone. Destiny looked at Edwin and recollected something Ivy had said on the first day she met him...of course, it had been a rough start!

"my brain says that I've seen him somewhere...some years back...I just can't remember.", Destiny remembered Ivanna saying this statement, and then when she looked at him, the sentence appeared so true! 

'I've seen him somewhere...somewhere! In the newspapers? No. In the mall, while I was working at the cash counter? But wait-No. Ivy wasn't there with me then and even she remembers-', and while Dez was lost in her thoughts looking at Edwin, he looked back at her. Looking at someone and they start looking at you is no joke. It's EMBARRASSING. He smiled a weak smile, something he isn't very used to, and continued speaking on the phone. Destiny quickly looked away and thought, "Work problems are real!". Sometime later, he came outside,

"Hey!", Destiny said, looking at him.

"Hi Dez, how's today?", he asked, sitting on the stairs as well.

"Going great...just my daily routine...how about you? You seem worried today?". He again smiled a weak smile,

"Forget me, Oh I needed to tell you, you know the photoshoots we did on Saturday? All those pictures are gonna be in the 'THE TIMES' as well as on the T.V. tomorrow"

"Wait! News- I knew about that but the T.V...?! You gotta be kidding-"

"Lol. No. I can show you the edits, I was working on them till midnight yesterday!", he replied. Destiny smiled and said,

"No spoilers for sure, Edwin! You know-", she was about to say and then her phone started buzzing. It was Rylee.

"A minute.", she said to Edwin and then received the call.

"Hello, model girl?! Forgot me already, huh?", Rylee said with a laugh.

"No Rylee, no! I'd kill myself if I did that!", Destiny replied.

"Prove me wrong then?", Rylee said.

"I will. Coming right to your house to prove you wrong!", Destiny replied, giggling and hung up.

"I gotta go meet a friend...see ya around! Bye!", she said to Edwin and went to Rylee's apartment. She came at the door to greet Dez and looked absolutely pretty in her apple-cut hair, of course, which were now dyed pink from the bottom. She wore a red tank top with light-washed denims.

"Your hair looks great Rylee!", Dez said. They were meeting after almost more than half a month.

"Thank you, Dez!! I knew you would like it, we girls have the best fashion sense. My dad says I look like a pink robin!", she said, touching the ends of her hair. After they were inside, Rylee prepared hot chocolate and came out in the drawing-room,

"So, how's everything?", she said, handing over a cup to Destiny.

"Thanks, Rylee. It's going good, we did the photoshoot, tomorrow's the day they are getting printed and published and everything!"

"Oh wow, that is so cool! You'll see a drastic change in the number of followers on your social media...just wait for tomorrow!", Rylee replied.

"How are you doing?", Dez questioned, keeping the hot chocolate mug on the table. She didn't meet Destiny's eyes and her face fell.

"I'm doing lonely these days...I mean I feel like no one has time for me anymore...all my friends... everyone-"

"I'm sorry Rylee, I didn't visit you for so long-"

"No, no Dez, absolutely no worries, I know how busy your schedule is...I know your job, I've been there, done that...it's just that I feel alone.". Destiny didn't know what to say to her...she decided to change the subject.

"How's your clothing line doing then?". Rylee smiled,

"It's going better than ever...I'm also traveling to the Maldives in a week or two for an upcoming clothing line project, I'm going there the second time!"

"Now that's something amazing to hear!", Dez replied with a smile.
