DREAMFUL
CHAPTER:26
"She's tutoring extra hours today".
Ivanna Nooks had started giving tuitions to back up her monthly allowances since her family was not all that glam. The doorbell rang, and Ivy entered. She looked very exhausted, yet excited with a big bunch of flowers in her hand and a little bag from 'ACCESSORIZE'. She ran straight to Dez and gave her a big hug.
"Believe me or not.....", she said, still unable to speak because of all the running," I came all the way running, I hope you aren't mad at me, Dez, are you? I'm so sorry I'm late for this celebration but CONGRATULATIONS! I've been bragging about my best friend being a supermodel since morning and I showed the T.V ramp walk of yours to EACH OF MY STUDENT!". She was speaking fast. Way too fast.
"And many congrats to you too Mrs. Decker and Grace!".
"Thank you, Ivy, you're the BEST! But...", Dez said eyeing the gifts handed to her.
"BUT what Miss. model. I spent like one hour trying to find the bracelet that is perfect for a-"
"Chill. Ivy, please sit, you'll faint!", Destiny said, laughing. And it was true. Ivanna had been speaking non-stop since she entered and it felt like that much talking was too much for a fragile girl with brown curly hair which ended up to her shoulders.
"Thanks!", she said, accepting a glass of water from Mrs. Decker.
"So. What happened? You don't like the present?", she asked again, nervous this time, biting her lower lip.
"Silly, I loveeee it! Why did you need to spend money on this now, Ivy? I haven't yet won the pageant! This is the initial stage". Ivanna looked at her best friend as if she was some kind of an alien.
"What?"
"What? Dez? Are you serious? THIS IS AN ACCOMPLISHMENT!!!", she screamed in her ears. Dez covered her ears and giggled,
"Okay, okay, as you say. Accomplishment!"
"Better.", Ivy replied before gulping down the rest of the glass of water.
**************************
It had been a long time since Destiny had gone outside early morning for a bicycle ride- her favorite part about living in Amsterdam. Due to her new-busy schedule, it wasn't very much possible, so she decided to go out for a ride, the next morning. She set her alarm for 6.00 O'clock and had a good night's sleep. It had, of course, been a long day of everyone congratulating her on her T.V. premier and newspaper photograph.
She woke up ON TIME the next morning and got ready in a light pink tee along with black trousers-tied her hair in a messy bun and went out to cycle.
"Today, I'm gonna ride my life from Avenue 4 to 6!", she thought.
Avenue 4 to 6 was a ride of half an hour to-and-fro. It was a place filled with a lot of greenery and vibes Destiny adored. Pine trees, coconut trees, and cherry blossoms, all existed there, mainly because it was the almost outskirts of the city. Many people came there mostly for cycling, while some for a good morning walk or jog. When she reached Avenue 4, she breathed the fresh air and was taken back to the days when she used to come there every day for bike rides before having her job to start working in a mall for her nine to five duty. She parked her bike in a corner and stood looking at the beauty of the city, Avenue 4 was elevated which produced a beautiful look at the nearby churches, shops, gardens, and the buzz of the city. Destiny felt something curl around her legs. It was a cute little pup with a red bow around the neck.
"Oh, Hellow!!", she said, bending down to pick it up, it started licking Destiny's hand right away, and she immediately understood whose dog it was. She let it free and stood up but it still curled around her feet.
"Milo! Here you are!...", came a familiar voice.
